The campsite is owned, maintained and operated by the

Barrwood Trust

in support of Scouting.

Barrwood Bookings: Bookings for September and beyond will open on Thursday 26th August. The Camp Operations Group, supported by the Trustees, have agreed to allow camping over the winter season to small groups only, e.g. individual Troops or Units.

The current zone system will be relaxed allowing more than one group to use a zone simultaneously. However, the booking secretary will still endeavour to equalise numbers in each zone.

Throughout September there will be volunteer weekend wardens. As was traditional in the past groups camping will be expected to help with chores allocated by the warden by way of “rent”. In particular, this will involve helping to keep the toilets clean. The toilets will be re-equipped with toilet roll and hand gel.

Activities – The barn will be available for booking. Archery and caving remain closed. The current arrangement for canoeing remains, i.e. available on Saturday or Tuesday evening only.

Please continue to use the booking form accessible from this page which has been updated for use from 1st September. N.B. the form is no longer linked to the local DC’s and leaders in charge must follow the appropriate NAN procedures.
