The Barn

The Sir Ian Bolton Barn

The useable internal area of the building is about 70 feet by 30 feet (21m x 9m).

At one end there is a Bouldering Wall, the use of which must be supervised at all times

When booked for exclusive use:

- there is a Leader’s room for use by the Duty Scouter,

- separate Toilets are available for women, men and disabled people,

- facilities include a Power Generator, although this can only be used by authorized personnel. Diesel fuel will be available for the generator but users are required to replace any fuel that they use.

There are charges for exclusive use of the Barn which must be booked in advance, details can be found under Charges.

If you wish to have exclusive use of the Bouldering Wall this can only be achieved by booking the Barn in the usual way and incurring the normal booking fee. There are guidelines for using the wall which can be found here.
